Trap6 - Mid West Blue - Split best time - 3.53 - Fastest run in derby - 29.84

Quite exciting now - With a clear run 3 - 4 - 5 should qualify unless 1 out
traps them all and causes a upset.
Slip the Lark has the fastest split time of the semi-finalists in the 4 rounds so far.

Trap2 - Threeonethree - Split best time - 3.47 - Fastest run in derby -29.84
Trap3 - Belverdere Champ - Split best time 3.55 - Fastest run in derby - 29.82
Trap4 - Airport Pilot - Split best time -3.53 - Fastest run in derby - 29.68
Trap5 - Cashen Legend - Split best time -3.44 - Fastest run in derby - 29.72
Trap6 - Faypoint Man - Split best time -3.45 - Fastest run in derby - 29.43

Tricky semi this one as 1 - 5 - 6 should go to the 1st together and if 1 can hold
the inside and lead round the 2rd then without any trouble 1 - 5 - 6 should go
through to the final.

I did'nt do too bad as i got 4 of the finalists through. Only Royal Tornado let me down
as i said in 1st heat unless Trap1 out traps them all and he did putting Slip the Lark out
of the final.

The final should see Trap2/4/6 going to the bend together and as trap2 has the inside he could come out best of the bunch and lead as he has done to at least the 3rd bend . Then if no trouble in race we should see
traps 3/5 and 6 taking over. Trap5 has 2 yards in hand of the others and should win bar trouble.


"College Causeway" wins the final - What a great race - last at the 1st - came home like a train - this dog has amazing trackcraft as well as speed - it was a pleasure to see him pass dog after dog - Oran Classic led as i said it would - only Shaneboy Lee made no show.

In the other races Royal Torado bounced back with a good run - a repeat of that run would have seen him in the final. His win in 29.59 was only 1 length slower than the final.

Scolari Me Daddy one of my dogs to follow who was only a pup when the Derby started came out with another good win.

Yes it was a good Derby this year and "College Causeway" will now join my "Hall of Fame"
