This is my attempt at solving the going at Shelbourne Park. First i will start on Saturdays only as there is a better class dog running on Saturdays. If the going is fast just add the going time to the igb time and if the going is slow take it away. As this is a new venture it will be subject to many changes. First change to make things easier for me and my visitors is to round off figures. In future going under 0.10 will not change but will go up in stages from 0.10/0.15/0.20/0.25/0.30/0.35/0.40/0.45 and 0.50.

100 Rating for 525 yards = 28.90
100 Rating for 550 yards = 30.25 + Going will be rated same as 525 yards
100 Rating for 575 yards = 31.60 + Going will be rated plus 0.05 to 525 yards
100 Rating for 600 yards = 32.95 + Going will be rated same as 575 yards.
Now that Winter is over and Spring is here we should be having some faster times. As times are normally rated per quarter and because of Shelbourne Park change in times next update of all tracks will be left till 1st week in July then i shall have a full years times to rate the track on.
Unlike the I.G.B who's plus 30 and minus 50 never change mine do change as how the track is running. So where they have plus 30 my top rating after winter going is down to 20.
Out of the 42 quarters that i have considered Cork is way out in front of the other plus tracks.

Shelbourne Park went from 28.90 to 28.70 during quarter 1st July to 30th Sept then to 28.64 from 1st Oct to 31 st Dec now back to 28.80 from 1st Jan to 31st March. Now it is 28.84. Everything will even out over the 4 seasons.
From 1st July 2009 to 31st December 2009 going calculated at 0.23 fast so add that to any dogs time during that period. For 1st January 2010 to 31st March 2010 take 0.15 off dogs time. We now have April running at 1st week 0.10 slow - 2rd week - Normal and 3rd week - Normal. 4th week - normal. So we will be calling April going normal. So for the 10 months to date, we have 0.23 minus 0.15 equals 0.08 thats how the track is running from this time last year. 28.90 last year minus 0.08 equals 28.82. We now have enough going times to start the "Ratings" for 525/550/600 yards and at the present time only Ao grade apply. Hoping to get down to graders later on.
My idea is to get all the top ratings done in time for the "Irish Derby" with going allowances built in and no dog will better a rating than 141(Track Record) and all ratings will be for 2010 only, right up to date.
