Below are some "Times Tables"

If you wish to multiply 4 by 7 you will see that where the red colours meet it is 28 the answer - All you have to do is look in the 1st column for your 1st number and then in the top row for your 2rd number and where they meet is the "Answer"

First table is up to 10 and second table up to 20.

Third table is - Percentages - Fractions and Decimals.
You now have a good base to start from 1% to 100% - 1/100 to 100/100 and 0.01 to 1.00.

If you need to go to the 3rd decimal as in the case of 1/8 for example that is 0.125. All you need to do is double it making 2/8 which is 1/4 and that is 0.250 and divide that by 2 giving you the correct answer 0.125.
You will find practically all that you need in this table and it will save you a lot of work.

You can get the same answers by adding like this as it is a simple
and good way to check your sums even if you can multiply.

Multiply 4x4
4+4 = 8 = 4x2
8+8 =16 = 4x4

Multiply 16x16
16+16 = 32 = 16x2
32+32 = 64 = 16x4
64+64 = 128 = 16x8
128+128 =256 =16x16

Weights
If working with pounds, ounces and fractions or a combination of these, express the value in ounces before converting.
Example: Convert 7 pounds, 9 and a half ounces to kilograms.
Convert pounds to ounces: 7 × 16 = 112
Express the half as a decimal: .5
Add values together: 112 + 9 + .5 = 121.5
Now convert to kilograms:
One ounce equals .02835 kilograms, so multiply.
121.5 × .02835 = 3.444525 (round off to hundredths: 3.44 kilograms).

Percentages
To increase or decrease a percentage.
First reduce to 1% like this - 1234 divided by 100 = 12.34
Take the figures - 1234 and say that you would like to increase or
decrease by 7%.
1% = 12.34 x 7 = 86.38 - to increase by 7% add to 1234 =1320.38
1% = 12.34 x 7 = 86.38 - to decrease by 7% take away from 1234
=1147.62

Temperature

To convert Celsius to Fahrenheit, multiply by 1.8, then add 32.
Example: 10° Celsius
10 × 1.8 = 18
18 + 32 = 50° Fahrenheit
To convert Fahrenheit to Celsius, subtract 32, then divide by 1.8.
Example: 77° Fahrenheit
77 - 32 = 45
45 ÷ 1.8 = 25° Celsius

Converting
Example: Convert 5 feet, 5 and three-quarter inches to meters.
Convert feet to inches: 5 × 12 = 60 inches
Express three-quarters as a decimal: .75
Add values together: 60 + 5 + .75 = 65.75 inches
Now convert to meters:
One inch equals .0254 meter, so multiply.
65.75 × .0254 = 1.67005 (round off to hundredths: 1.67 meters).
